*** Public Alert:  Scam Regarding Fraudulent Court Cases or Matters ***

There has been nationwide reporting of fake Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs) being sent to attorneys and law firms across the country.

These fake NEFs are phishing attempts.  Once a recipient replies to the email they are sent a follow-up email containing a link to access a document.

That document leads to a malicious website. We encourage all inquirers and court customers to take caution if they receive these fake NEFs.

Validate cases and case documentation through CM/ECF, do not download any attachments or click any links from unofficial or questionable sources.

If you receive an email, telephone call, or any other correspondence regarding a federal court case or matter of which you are unaware

or that contains suspicious documents causing you to question their validity, please contact the Clerk’s Office at 302-573-6170.

Notice regarding the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025: The Department of Homeland Security has determined that federal courthouses remain exempt from the provisions of the REAL ID Act in order to protect the constitutional right of defendants and other members of the public’s access to court proceedings.

Acceptable forms of identification for entry into the District of Delaware are any of the following: a State Issued Driver’s License, a State Issued Photo ID Card, a REAL ID Compliant Driver’s License, and a Federally Issued Identification Card such as a Military ID and/or a Passport.
